The city of Essen is one of the largest in the geographical heart of the Rhein-Ruhr-Area,in Germany. The construction of the metro (Stadtbahn) network started in the early 1960’s.

  • U18 Line: Mülheim Hbf, Rhein-Ruhr-Zentrum, Essen Hbf, Berliner Platz, Universität, Altenessen Karlsplatz

The Essen Hauptbahnhof station is the principal crosspoint of all system.
